Self-catering Cortijo (farmhouse) accommodation with swimming pool in a quiet area but conveniantly on the edge of the attractive market town of Orgiva, the capital of the Alpujarra's, Sierra Nevada, with stunning views of the Sierra de Lujar and Sierra de Contraviesa. For a rural setting that provides access to many other locations within 45mins drive; Granada, Bubion, Trevelez, the Costa Tropical and Lanjaron.

The property has recently undergone further refurbishment to the interior and to the tiled swimming pool.

The English and Spanish speaking owner is available to advise on activities in the area. The cottage is in a quiet area on the edge of Orgiva, Las Alpujarras, Sierra Nevada, Andalucia,
Spain, an area made famous in Chris Stewart“s book 'Driving over Lemons'. The cottage is in a tranquil location, but it is convenient for all the amenities of a town (shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc).

There are 3 bedrooms (sleeps up to 6). Outside relax in one acre of grounds with olives, oranges, lemons, figs and vines, with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada and Lugar. There is a terrace with garden furniture, table, chairs and sun loungers, and a stone built barbecue, and of course the 7m by 3m swimming pool.

The pool is for the sole use of the clients and is private. Orgiva is in the Las Alpujarra's, the South side of the Sierra Nevada and is about 45 km from Granada, and 30km from the coast, and about 120 km from Malaga Airport. An ideal location.

FurnituresShutters to all windows. Fans supplied to keep things cool in the summer. In addition to the wood burning stove in the living room, portable heaters are available to supplement heating in the bedrooms, if required. Wood/kindling for stove supplied. Pets considered - please ask the owner.
OutdoorsThe property is ideally situated within a large 1.5 acre garden in a tranquil location, with ample car parking, but conveniently in walking distance (300 metres, 5 minutes) for the amenities of the town. The cortijo is in an area known as Rio Chico to the north side of Orgiva town, it is idealy situated, next to the river within a large 2 acre garden in a tranquil location, with ample car parking, but conveniantly within walking distance (300m, 5 minutes) of the town. Orgiva is known as the capital of the Alpujarras, and is a bustling market town. It is idealy situated for both the mountains and the coast. There are various bars, restaurants and shops, including petrol stations, post office, internet cafe, banks (with cash machines), and a lively market on Thursdays. The Alpujarras occupies the South facing slopes of the Sierra Nevada, and offers an outstanding combination of climate (325 days sunshine per year) and scenery. Where else is it possible to see oranges, lemons and figs with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains?
