Only 1 km down the road is the Puerto de la Duquesa where there is every restaurant imaginable: typical Spanish, Italian (including Speciality Pizza) Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Sea Food, Good Old British Pub Food, Steak Houses – basically there is anything you need in the port and more…
Sabinillas is a small town next door to the port, it is very typically Spanish with very little tourist influence, however there are some fantastic restaurants on the sea front and tapas bars in the narrow streets. |

Manilva, Duquesa & Sabinillas on the southern part of the Costa Del Sol, only 50km from the coast of Africa, enjoy a pleasant micro climate, which makes them the ideal “all year round” holiday destination.
The beauty of this area is that it doesn’t close up after the holiday season, it’s possible to “holiday all year round” in this area.
If it rains in Nov or Feb then there are still lots of things to do and places to go.
The areas mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round.
While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow, the Costa del Sol enjoys an average twenty-six days of sunshine each January. Rainfall is scarce and temperatures mild.
With less than fifty days of rain per year, draughts often threaten in the summer months. The typical rainy season lasts just four months, stretching from November to February. But even when umbrellas and raincoats are the order of the day, the thermometer rarely dips below a mild 13º C from December to March. |
