| Description |
A very spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with large sun terrace, fully equipped kitchen and fitted out to a very high standard. Fuentes perches on top of a hill, with spectacular views across the Costa Tropical. It boasts a stunning infinity pool which appears to merge with the sea and another panoramic pool with equally outstanding views.
The Costa Tropical is the lesser know part and more typically Spanish part of the Andalucian coast, just along the bay from Nerja. Still traditionally Spanish, Almuncar boasts a lovely meandering old town with Moorish castle and has a buzzing atmosphere with many tapas bars and boutiques.
The house is just a few minutes away from many beautiful beaches. From tiny coves to long expanses, some served by 'Chiringuitos'(beach bars) and some secluded, there's something for all beach-lovers tastes. In the evening you can dine in one of many waterside restaurants along the beachfront or enjoy the atmosphere of the old town's hustle and bustle - from basic Spanish tapas bars to some of the best seafood restaurants on the coast. Or, if you prefer to relax 'at home', the spacious terrace has a large buit-in barbeque, comfortable table and chairs with views across the mountains and towards the coast.

| Further Information |
Weather: The Costa Tropical claims the best climate in Spain. Due to its protected geography, the local area has a micro-climate that is unique to the country. Sea breezes fan the shoreline throughout most of the year, tempering the summer heat, and there is no rainy season. In fact, it sometimes doesn't rain for many months at a stretch. On average, it only rains 20 days a year! In wintertime, temperatures very rarely fall below 10ºC, averaging an impressive 18ºC throughout the low season. In summer, this average rises to about 25ºC with midday temperatures often well into the 30's.
Getting there: The house is approximately 1 hour's drive from both Malaga and Granada airports.
A car is recommended to reach the property and to get around, particularly on warm summer days when the walk back from the nearest beaches or the centre of town can be a challenge. Driving in this part of Spain is not hard, the roads are in excellent condition and places are clearly signposted.
The surrounding area: This property is ideally situated to explore this fascinating part of Spain. The Costa Tropical is much less developed and more authentically Spanish than the Costa del Sol to the west.
Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice and those who appreciate the heritage of Spain will love ancient Granada and its world famous Alhambra, the unspoilt ‘white pueblos’ and many places of interest.
Nature lovers are just minutes away from the natural park of Pena Escrita, the beautiful, unspoilt promontory of Cerro Gordo and superb walking in the Alpujarras.
Child-friendly: A cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Short breaks: We will gladly accept short breaks of 3-6 nights during the off-peak season.
Long lets: Long-stay lets are also available - please enquire for discounts during the winter months. |
