Our Villa comes fully equipped to make the most of the climate. Each of the main rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning and central heating to keep the Villa at a comfortable temperature.
Our villa is perfectly located in a pretty development overlooking the Spanish market town of Bigastro and only 20 kms from Torrevieja and its award winning blue flag beaches, Bigastro has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant holiday. Within 5 minutes walk of the villa is a recreation area with mountain bike trails, basic restaurants, a municipal swimming pool, walking trails along with bbq and camping areas. |

Water Sports - sailing, surfing, scuba-diving, windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling, fishing are all available at the port in Torrevieja and the surrounding coastal area.
Horse Riding - available at the El Refugio Horse Riding Centre situated at La Mata Salt Lakes to the north of Torrevieja.
Bowling and Tennis - there are numerous clubs and courts in the area.
Fiestas are held here most months of the year when tourists mingle with the locals to party in the streets in true Spanish-style. Below is just a selection of the carnivals and fiestas, but there are many others in the smaller villages around the villa:
Jan - Feast of the Three Wise Men
Feb - It's carnival time in February
Apr - The Holy Week processions
May -The May Fair the following month,
Jun - For the feast of San Juan which is not to be missed and includes the burning of huge papier mache effigies in the street
Jul - Feast of the Virgen del Carmen and the election of Torrevieja's 'Queen of Salt'.
Aug - Habaneras" international music contest whch is
one of the biggest festivals of the year. Torrevieja swings for a week to the soulful rhythms of the melodies brought back from Latin America in the late nineteenth century when the town's salt trade with Cuba was at its peak. The festival attracts a live and television audience of hundreds of thousands of people. It's a great time to holiday but book your accommodation well in advance! |

The roof terrace has a table, 6 chairs and 6 sunloungers. | | | | Things to do | You won't be short of things to do and places to visit in this area. For the historians Torrevieja is an ancient sea port steeped in history and you can still see many reminders of its colourful past. Orihuela was home to the famous Spanish poet Miguel Hernandez. There are especially two monuments to see; The Cathedral and the Palace of Rubalcalva. A short drive away is the city of Murcia, which is divided by the Segura River and is known for its beautiful Baroque Cathedral, Almudi Palace and the castle of Monteagudo. Other great towns and cities to visit include Elche, Alicante and Cartegena.
Fiestas are held locally most months of the year and forthose of you with children, the Costa Blanca is blessed with over 30 theme parks, water parks, zoos and safari parks. Within 20 minutes of the villa are 2 water parks, ten pin bowling, Go Karts, horse riding, and a zoo or if you prefer a more relaxing holiday, why not spend the afternoon on the sun terrace or around the pool.
For the evenings, there is an abundance of bars, & restaurants to cater for all budgets and tastes. A short walk away are the basic restaurants and bars of Bigastro while the more expensive tourist restaurants can also be found within 15 mins drive. Recommendations are left at the villa of our favourites.
For those of you that wish to shop til you drop, nearby there are various boutique style shops and hypermarkets and every day of the week, there is a different market in one of the local villages.
Last, but not least, Benidorm is little over an hours drive away and features Water Parks, a Sea World, and Terramitica theme park. It is well worth a day or 2 of your holiday if you have small or teenage kids. The water park Aqualandia is our special recommendation. | | | | Nearest Airport | 20 mins drive Murcia
