Description

Our apartment is on the 2nd floor and is on the corner, so you get a lot of sun, mostly during the afternoon and evening. It is fully equipped with a large spacious lounge(Looking onto the terrace and overlooking the pool) with a comfy sofa and stools and a large glass coffee table. TV is a flat screen 32". There is a glass dining table with 6 chairs, a sideboard and large mirror over. There is subtle lighting as well using the lamps around. Off the hall is 3 bedrooms, two bedrooms, each with twin beds and plenty of cupboard space. There is a shower room with toilet and hand basin and a cupboard for your bits and bobs. The main bedroom has an en-suite with a toilet, bidet, vanity unit and mirror with lights and a bath with shower over. The bedroom also looks out onto the terrace with double sliding doors, has a superking bed, dressing mirror and side tables with lights.
The kitchen is fully equipped with the home from home equipment eg. Kettle, loads of cutlery and crockery, mugs, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fan on the ceiling. This leads into the spacious utility room which houses the boiler, washing machine and air conditioning unit. There is also an iron, ironing board and airers.
There are shutters you pull down from the inside on all windows to keep it cooler on the hot summer days. The floors are marble throughout.

Neighborhood

La Cala de Mijas is one of the original fishing villages on the Costa Del Sol and is located between Marbella and Fuengirola. This very pretty village offers so much charm and something for everyone. Ideal for familes, toddlers, golfing paradise, many romantic restaurants, shops, bars, supermarkets, historical landmarks, and the fabulous sandy beach. La Cala has a great market on Saturdays. The apartment is a 7 minute drive away from this amazing town. La Cala Hills is a very friendly place, with bars and restaurants and has a supermarket/bar/cafe within easy walking distance. In La Cala de Mijas is Elliot Wrights plush restaurant and nite spot Olivias! as on TV's Playa in Marbella. The apartment can be accessed by lift or stairs and we are on the second floor overlooking the 2 gated pools, (one for toddlers). There are numerous fabulous beaches within easy driveable distance. Cabopino, Marbella and Puerto Banus, Andy's Beach are to name but a few. You can see from the front of our apartment the mountains and the superb village of Mijas which is only a 20 minute drive away.

#22. Great apartment and ideally suited to surrounding attractions

We really enjoyed or stay at this terrific apartment. It had all the amenities we wanted including a dishwasher and it was very roomy! The kids enjoyed the pool which was a good size and we were not far from the delightful village of Mijas and the town of Fuengirola which was great for shopping and the Aqua Park. The weather was splendid. We hope to return again in the not too distant future. Thank Paula for all your help making our holiday, so easy to enjoy.

#21. Lovely family holiday

We stayed at this apartment in late July/ early August with our 3 children. We had stayed in the same area 2 years ago so were familiar with the area. The apartment itself is well maintained and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. What I really liked was the fact that each room had its own individual air conditioning and could be regulated separately.The apartment had everything needed for an enjoyable holiday and the pool area was lovely, v clean and sunbeds were always available. The complex itself was very peaceful which suited us but a car { which we had} would be essential. I would recommend this apartment and would definitely stay in the future..

#20. 2nd holiday here brought the kids

This was our second visit to Spain and this apartment, we brought other family members this time. Plenty of space and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. We spent pleasant evenings on the balcony terrace. Just a short run to Fuengirola and the beach or up to Mijas village. We had great weather too! Great holiday and accommodation. A great light a spacious apartment which has been very well looked after. Very large balcony over looking the beautiful swimming pool and gardens. Excellent communication and details left regarding the apartment. Good air conditioning. Will definitely return and would certainly recommend to others

#18. Excellent stay in this apartment

Highly recommend this apartment which is located in the pleasant La Cala Hills area. The apartment itself is large and spacious. A nice feature of this property is the large balcony which is perfect if you want to eat at the apartment or as in our case use it for breakfast whilst grabbing the first rays of the day and for those drinks in the evening as the sun goes down. The temperature at the time of our stay was in the mid to high 30s - even the locals were saying it was hot! - but the very efficient air conditioning made sure we enjoyed a confortable nights sleep. The apartment is very clean and nicely furnished. Liked the art work and nice choice of decor. It is certainly far better than staying in a typical apartment offered by the package operators as it has all the nice personal touches, equipment and bits and bobs that come with it being privately owned accommodation. We particularly enjoyed the lovely large swimming pool. Often we were the only ones in the water which made it feel like your own private pool. The signs around the pool ask that users respect the peace and tranquility that the pool and well maintained colourful gardens offer and this was certainly being observed at the time of our visit which created a very pleasant atmosphere for relaxation. There are a handful of restaurants in the immediate vicinity which we found to be good and we also ventured into Fuengirola a few evenings where there is an extensive choice of eateries. Whenever we phoned for a taxi for one of these evening excursions it arrived at the apartment gate within 5 minutes so no complaints at that service. A hire car is a prerequisite as the apartment is located away from the main town of Fuengirola. It also allowed us to visit the recommended beaches and other locations, the highlights for us being a visit to the village of Mijas high up in the hills and a trip down to Gibraltar. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the Costa del Sol.

#17. Fantástico apartamento de lujo en la Cala Hills

Llegamos el 29 por la tarde y recogimos las llaves donde nos dijo Paula, sin problemas. La zona es estupenda, me gusta por lo tranquila y, a la vez, lo cerca que está de Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, ... La casa es muy bonita y amplia, y está decorada con mucho gusto. El salón muy grande, la habitación principal también, con baño incorporado. Hay otras dos habitaciones más pequeñas, pero más que suficientes, y otro aseo con ducha. La cocina estupenda también. Pero lo que más me llamó la atención es lo bien equipada que está, tiene de todo. Aire acondicionado frío/calor en salón y habitaciones, frigorífico, microondas, horno, lavadora, lavavajillas, termo eléctrico para agua caliente sanitaria, tostadora, calentador de leche, TV TDT y satélite, CD, DVD, caja fuerte, etc... A todo detalle, no le falta de nada. Vajilla, cubertería, cristalería, todo perfecto, y además habían productos de alimentación disponibles, café, té, azucar, etc... La ropa de cama igual, perfecto todo y en abundancia de sábanas y toallas. El jardín muy bien cuidado, y la piscina magnífica, aunque por las fechas en que fuimos no fue posible utilizarla. La terraza, con salida a ella desde el salón y la habitación principal, es hermosa, muy grande, y totalmente equipada con mobiliario adecuado. Además estaba todo muy limpio y bien cuidado. Productos de limpieza todo lo que quisieras, bolsas de basura, cepillos, aspirador, limpiacristales, lavavajillas, detergente, paños de cocina, estropajos, pañuelos de papel, recambios de bombillas, en fin, de todo lo que uno se imagine, allí estaba. La urbanización está muy bien, con puerta de acceso general y puerta de acceso a los portales. Además Paula fue súper amable, no he tenido ningún problema y todo es como ella dijo. Repetiré, seguro, y lo recomiendo a cualquiera que busque un apartamento para 6 personas en esa zona. Una estancia muy, muy agradable. ¡Gracias Paula!

#16. Comfortable and spacious apartment in a good complex

We had stayed in a villa in the La Cala Hills urbanization the previous year so knew what to expect locally. The complex is good and meets the basic needs - a supermarket, three or four bars, and a couple of restaurants (including the excellent Swaghat indian) - if you didn't want to be very adventurous, you could save on car hire / taxis and spend your entire time here. Internally, the apartment was lovely, comfortable and well appointed. It's on the 2nd floor and is on the corner, which meant that there was a large balcony that got the sun in the afternoon. The kitchen has all the appliances you would need. The keys were sent in post prior to our departure which was great as we arrived in the early hours of the morning and there was already some basics in the apartment (toilet rolls, shampoo, washing up liquid etc) which was useful. The gardens surrounding the pool were well maintained and the pool area is fenced off and therefore ideal for those with younger kids. It was never that busy around the pool and there were always sunbeds available during our stay. The apartments seem to be a good mix of local residents, overseas residents and shorter term holiday lets. The grounds and apartments generally were all well maintained.
